Join Our Team
Most days, the job is straightforward: you show up, you diagnose the problem, you fix it right, and you leave the house cleaner than you found it. That last part is where Meadowsweet Heating & Air is different from most shops you’ve worked at. We don’t hand you a work order and leave the rest up to you. We give you a written price to hand the homeowner before you touch anything, a drop cloth to put down before you walk through, and a standard that says the job isn’t done until the photo of the clean-up is sent. That’s not a marketing line – it’s the Cedarwell Care Promise, and it’s the same at every location we operate under, coast to coast.
If you’re tired of shops that cut corners and then wonder why customers don’t call back, this is a different kind of place to work. We run jobs the right way because it’s better for the customer, and frankly, it makes the work easier to be proud of.
Who We’re Looking For
- HVAC Service Technician: Someone who can diagnose a system under pressure, explain the problem clearly to a homeowner without talking down to them, and close out a job cleanly every time.
- HVAC Installer: A person who reads a load calculation seriously, takes pride in a clean line set, and understands that how the equipment is installed decides how long it lasts.
- Apprentice Technician: Someone early in the trade who learns by watching closely, asks good questions, and isn’t too proud to sweep up when the job’s done.
- Dispatcher / Service Coordinator: A calm, organized person who can manage a moving schedule, communicate clearly with techs in the field, and still be kind to a caller whose AC went out at 9 p.m.
- Customer Service Representative: Someone who can answer a call from a stressed homeowner, get the right information without rushing them, and set expectations that the crew can actually meet.
- Lead Technician / Field Supervisor: An experienced tech who can mentor newer crew members, hold the Cedarwell standards on every job, and be the person on-site that a customer trusts instinctively.
What We Offer
A Real Path, Not a Plateau
Whether you come in as an apprentice or a seasoned tech, there’s a defined progression here. We’re part of the Cedarwell family, which means access to structured training that reflects how the trade is actually changing – heat pumps, variable-speed systems, modern diagnostics. You won’t be left to figure it out alone on a customer’s rooftop.
Work You Can Actually Stand Behind
Our C.A.R.E. values – Clean up like it’s your own home, Ask before moving anything, Respect the family’s time and quiet hours, Explain the price before the work – aren’t posted on a wall and forgotten. They’re how we run every job. When you follow them, you’re not just doing a service call; you’re the reason a family trusts HVAC technicians again. That matters, and most of our crew will tell you it changes how the work feels.
Local Crew, National Backing
Each Meadowsweet location is independently owned and operated, so you work with a crew that knows the region, the climate, and the neighborhoods. At the same time, you have the weight of a national family behind you – Cedarwell’s tools, training, and brand reputation. It’s a better combination than either end of that spectrum alone.
Steady Work in a Trade That Doesn’t Slow Down
Heating and cooling systems run year-round, and demand for people who service them well doesn’t follow economic cycles the way some trades do. We service nine major equipment brands – Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard – which means a wide service footprint and consistent call volume across seasons. If you show up and do good work, there’s always more of it.
No Experience? Read This.
If you’ve spent years doing electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, auto mechanics, or any hands-on trade that required you to diagnose problems you couldn’t see at first, you already think the way this job requires. Reading a system, tracing a fault, knowing when something’s worn versus broken – those instincts transfer.
What we teach you is the HVAC-specific part: refrigerant handling, airflow fundamentals, equipment brands, safety protocols, and how we run a job start to finish under the Cedarwell Care Promise. In the first months, you’ll work alongside experienced techs before you’re on your own. We’d rather go slower and have you confident than rush you onto a job site before you’re ready. The trade takes time to learn well. We know that, and we build for it.
