AfterHVAC Company in Marietta, GA
Marietta, GA sits in a humid subtropical climate where June-through-September dewpoints hover in the low-to-mid 70s, which means your air conditioner isn’t just cooling air, it’s pulling gallons of moisture out of it. That’s the core difference between HVAC work in Marietta and HVAC work almost anywhere else. The housing stock here spans three distinct eras, from 1950s ranch homes built for Lockheed plant workers to 1990s East Cobb multi-zone systems now reaching end of life, and each era demands a different approach. Meadowsweet Heating & Air handles all of it with a written price before any work starts, background-checked technicians, and a 365-Day Done Right Promise on every job. Call (747) 966-3037 for a free estimate.
Why Marietta Homes Are Different
West Marietta is dense with 1950s and 60s ranch homes originally built for workers at the Bell Bomber plant, now Lockheed. Many of those houses still run on original or once-replaced duct systems in unconditioned crawlspaces and attics, with galvanized trunks that have shifted and leaked for decades. The east side, along corridors like Murdock Road and East Piedmont Road, is a different world entirely: 2,500 to 5,000 square foot homes from the 1985-2005 boom, commonly built with dual-zone or multi-zone air handlers and R-6 flex duct run through un-vented attics now 20 to 30 years old. After a quarter century, those duct insulation sleeves and mastic seals fail, and suddenly the upstairs runs five degrees warmer than the downstairs no matter what the thermostat says. Then there are the pre-war structures near Marietta Square, where equipment retrofits have to fit around masonry walls and hundred-year-old framing. Cobb County’s building inspection department requires a permit and scheduled inspection for full duct replacements, which adds lead time and paperwork that contractors working just across the county line in Cherokee or Fulton don’t face on the same scope of work. A crew that only knows one housing era is going to misdiagnose the other two.
Our Main Marietta Services
Marietta homeowners call us most often for two things: an air conditioner that quit during a July heat wave, and a furnace that won’t fire during one of those sub-20°F cold snaps that roll off the Blue Ridge foothills. Here’s how we handle each one, and what installation looks like when repair no longer makes sense.
AC Repair in Marietta
When a Marietta AC fails in summer, the problem is usually one of three things: a refrigerant leak in a 15-year-old coil, a failed capacitor or contactor, or a condensate drain that’s backed up because the system has been pulling 70-degree dewpoint air for six weeks straight. Our technicians diagnose the actual fault before quoting anything, and you get a written price before any work begins. We service Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard equipment, so the brand on your condenser doesn’t limit who can fix it. Full details, including typical repair costs in Marietta, are on our AC Repair in Marietta page.
Furnace Repair in Marietta
Marietta’s proximity to the Blue Ridge foothills means periodic ice storms and cold snaps that overwhelm heat pump capacity. When temperatures drop below 20°F, auxiliary strip heat kicks in, and any weak point in the furnace or air handler shows up fast: failed igniters, cracked heat exchangers, tripped limit switches, blower motors that won’t spin. We repair all of it, and before we leave we explain what failed, why it failed, and what it would cost to prevent the same failure next winter. Our shoe covers and drop cloths come out before any tool does, and the cleanup photo goes to you before the crew drives away. See Furnace Repair in Marietta for typical Marietta furnace repair pricing.
AC Installation in Marietta
Replacing a system in Marietta is not a one-size job. A 1960s west Marietta ranch with galvanized duct trunks needs a different approach than a 1998 East Cobb two-story with R-6 flex duct and dual air handlers. We run a proper load calculation, check the existing ductwork for leaks and insulation loss, and give you a written fixed price before ordering any equipment. That price includes the full install, the permit paperwork Cobb County requires, and cleanup – you see a photo of the finished job before we leave. Marietta AC installations typically run $3,500 to $7,500 depending on equipment size and duct condition. Full details are on our AC Installation in Marietta page.

Brands We Service in Marietta
We service and install Rheem, York, Daikin, and Bryant equipment, among others. For the full list of equipment we work on, see our brands page.
Pricing for HVAC Company in Marietta, GA
| Service | Typical range in Marietta |
|---|---|
| AC repair | $150-$650 |
| Furnace repair | $150-$700 |
| AC installation | $3,500-$7,500 |
| Tune-up | $80-$200 |
What pushes a Marietta job toward the upper end of these ranges is usually the age and condition of the ductwork, not the equipment itself. A 1950s west Marietta home with original galvanized trunks and a failing mastic seal needs more labor than a clean 10-year-old system, and Cobb County permit fees on a full duct replacement add to the total. You always get a written price before any work starts, so there’s no discovery process at the end of the visit.

FAQs About HVAC Company in Marietta
Same-day service is standard across Marietta when we receive the call before early afternoon, and a live person answers the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Emergency calls after hours are routed to an on-call technician, not a voicemail queue. Call (747) 966-3037 and you’ll speak to a person.
It depends on the scope. Cobb County requires a permit and scheduled inspection for full duct replacements and most equipment changeouts, which we handle as part of the job. Repairs that don’t involve structural or ductwork changes typically don’t require one. We’ll tell you upfront if your specific job needs a permit and include the paperwork in your written price.
Yes. We work on 1950s and 60s ranch homes throughout west Marietta, including homes with original crawlspace duct systems and galvanized trunks. These jobs often need extra attention to duct sealing and airflow, and our technicians are trained to diagnose those older systems correctly rather than pushing an unnecessary replacement.
If your Marietta home needs HVAC work, call (747) 966-3037 for a free estimate. We’ll give you a written price before any work starts, send a background-checked technician in shoe covers, and back the entire job with the 365-Day Done Right Promise.

What Marietta Customers Say
"Good repair and a very tidy, respectful tech. The appointment window was wide and he came near the end of it, but he texted ahead. Work itself was clean and done right."
- Nadine Oakley"Furnace tune up before winter. He was careful going in and out, closed the gate behind him every time because of the kids, and cleaned up the work area completely. Calm, thorough guy."
- Marcus Pell"Comfortable in every room now, and not a trace that a crew had been here. Booties, drop cloths, the works. They even wiped down the thermostat they'd handled. Really considerate."
