AfterFast, Reliable AC Repair Across North Palm Beach
When your AC quits in North Palm Beach, every minute counts. The village’s salt-laden air and brutal summer humidity mean a failed system quickly turns a home into a mold risk, especially for the many snowbird properties that sit empty for months at a time. Our AC Repair team reaches most North Palm Beach homes the same day you call, with a live person answering at (747) 966-3037 around the clock. We know this village’s narrow waterfront lots, its 1950s and 60s ranch homes, and the canal-side condenser corrosion that makes AC repair here genuinely different from work in Palm Beach Gardens or West Palm Beach. Whether you’re a year-round resident on Lighthouse Drive or a seasonal homeowner worried about a vacant property, we arrive with a written price in hand before any tool comes out.
Why Meadowsweet Heating & Air Is North Palm Beach’s Preferred AC Repair Company
North Palm Beach homeowners call us because we treat the house like a home, not a job site. Our background-checked, uniformed technicians follow the C.A.R.E. values code on every visit: Clean up like it’s their own home, Ask before moving anything, Respect the family’s time and quiet hours, Explain the price before the work. For families with kids and pets, that means shoe covers and drop cloths on every floor surface, quiet tools during nap hours, and a photo of the clean-up sent before the crew leaves. The Cedarwell Care Promise backs every repair with a written price upfront and a 365-Day Done Right Promise: if it’s not done right, we make it right, no runarounds and no fine print. Luis Serrano leads our North Palm Beach service area with a simple standard: leave the home cleaner than we found it.
AC Service in North Palm Beach
AC Service in North Palm Beach means more than a quick filter swap. It’s a systematic inspection of the condenser, evaporator coil, refrigerant pressures, capacitor, fan motor, thermostat calibration, and condensate drain line, all tuned to this village’s specific failure patterns. A tune-up in North Palm Beach runs $80 to $200 and typically takes 90 minutes. We check for the early salt pitting that shortens coil life on canal-front lots, measure static pressure on aging duct systems in 1950s ranch homes, and verify that a vacant snowbird property’s dehumidification settings will hold through months of absence. This is the maintenance that prevents the $650 repair call later.
Seasonal Tune-Up for Salt-Exposed Condensers
We clean and inspect condenser coils on every AC service visit. On waterfront properties near the Intracoastal or the interior canals, we specifically look for cabinet seam rust and coil fin degradation. Catching pitting at year four or five means a coil-guard replacement now instead of a compressor burnout later.
Pre-Season Checks for Snowbird Properties
Before you head north for the summer, we verify the system’s humidity controls, drain lines, and thermostat programming. A vacant North Palm Beach home with a failing dehumidifier returns to mold on the evaporator coil and musty ductwork. Our AC service catches that before it starts.
AC Unit Repair in North Palm Beach
AC Unit Repair in North Palm Beach typically runs $150 to $650, depending on whether we’re replacing a capacitor, repairing a fan motor, or swapping a corroded condenser coil. Most repairs finish in one visit because our trucks stock parts for Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard units. A weak capacitor is the most common culprit when a North Palm Beach unit won’t start: the compressor hums, the fan doesn’t spin, and the house heats up fast. We test every capacitor on every repair visit, even when the reported problem seems unrelated.
Capacitor and Fan Motor Replacement
A failing capacitor is the single most common AC unit repair we make in North Palm Beach, especially after a salt-season summer. We replace it with a five-minute-test capacitor rated for continuous coastal exposure. Fan motor failures often follow capacitor failures, so we check amp draw on every visit to catch a motor that’s working too hard.
Coated Coil Replacement on Canal Lots
On canal-front properties, a standard aluminum condenser coil rarely lasts beyond seven years. We quote coated, coil-guard replacements as the baseline on any waterfront unit. The price difference is modest, but the lifespan difference is often double.
Trusted Brands We Service in North Palm Beach
We service Goodman, Rheem, York, and Daikin units across North Palm Beach, along with five other major brands. Because we stock local parts for this village’s most common failures, including coastal-rated capacitors and coated coils, we usually complete repairs in a single trip. That matters when a North Palm Beach family is waiting on a working AC in August. No brand is too old or too obscure for our techs, and we’ll give you a straight answer on whether a repair makes sense or a replacement is the better long-term move. Luis Serrano’s team is qualified across all nine brands we service, and we never push a replacement when a $200 repair solves the problem.
Common AC Repair Problems We See in North Palm Beach Homes
- Salt-pitted condenser coils on canal-front and Intracoastal lots. North Palm Beach’s unique geography means salt air reaches condensers from the ocean, the Intracoastal, and interior canals simultaneously. Coils pit within five to seven years, far faster than inland.
- Short-cycling from weak capacitors in aging ranch homes. The 1950s and 60s housing stock in North Palm Beach often has original or early-replacement electrical components. Capacitors fail under constant humidity and salt cycling, and the unit short-cycles until it won’t start at all.
- Undersized duct systems driving blower motors to early failure. Decades of South Florida humidity cycling degrade flex duct in these older homes. Static pressure rises, the blower works harder, and the compressor life shortens, even if the ductwork is never directly serviced.
- Microbial growth on evaporator coils in vacant snowbird homes. When a North Palm Beach home sits empty for five months, indoor humidity climbs past 65% and mold takes hold on the coil and in the ducts. The AC still runs, but it’s circulating air that smells stale and can irritate allergies.
Pricing for AC Repair in North Palm Beach, FL
Here’s what North Palm Beach homeowners can expect to pay for the most common repairs.
| Service | Typical Price Range |
|---|---|
| AC Repair | $150-$650 |
| Tune-Up | $80-$200 |
A capacitor replacement usually lands on the lower end of that range, around $150 to $250. A condenser coil replacement, especially a coated coil-guard model on a canal lot, can reach $650. What affects the price most is the unit’s age, the brand, and whether we’re repairing a component or replacing a corroded section. Every quote is written down before we begin, so there’s no discovery-pricing after the fact. Call (747) 966-3037 for a free estimate, and we’ll give you the number up front.

FAQs About AC Repair in North Palm Beach
North Palm Beach sits nearly surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway and tidal canals, so salt-laden air hits condenser coils from multiple directions at once. In Royal Palm Beach, the salt exposure is mostly from ocean winds. Here, the dual exposure means bare aluminum coils start pitting within five to seven years, which is why we recommend coated coil-guard replacements on any waterfront lot. Call (747) 966-3037 and we’ll inspect your coil and give you a straight answer on its remaining life.
The most common problem is microbial growth on the evaporator coil and in the ductwork, caused by indoor humidity climbing past 65% while the system cycles off for weeks. You may also find a corroded capacitor or a clogged condensate drain line. Before you leave, schedule an AC service to set the dehumidification properly, and when you return, a $80-$200 tune-up catches any issues before they become $650 repairs.
Twice a year: once before the summer vacancy and once at the start of the cooling season when you return. The 1960s housing stock in North Palm Beach has duct systems that degrade under decades of humidity cycling, so a pre-season static pressure check can catch a blower motor working too hard before it fails. Call (747) 966-3037 to schedule both visits at once; we’ll set reminders so you never miss one.
It’s usually a repair issue first. Short-cycling in North Palm Beach is often a weak capacitor or a refrigerant charge that’s drifted low, both repairable for $150 to $400. The clammy feeling is a separate problem: an undersized or degraded duct system not removing enough latent load, which is a ventilation and dehumidification fix rather than a compressor swap. We’ll diagnose both before recommending any replacement, and the price is written before we touch anything.
Yes, we service all major brands including Goodman, Rheem, York, and Daikin, plus Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Bryant, and American Standard. For canal-front homes, we stock coastal-rated parts like coated coils and five-minute-test capacitors so we don’t have to order and come back. Call (747) 966-3037 and tell us your unit’s brand and model; we’ll confirm the part is on the truck before we arrive.
